You must have set up at least one recovery option (e.g., email, SMS, or security question).
Description
This article explains how to reclaim your forgotten password.
Resolution or Procedure Steps
- Navigate to https://onevu.vanderbilt.edu in your browser.
- Login using your @vanderbilt.edu email and click Next.
- When the system asks for your password, select the small text below the password field that says "Forgot Password". (See below)
- Then you will want to click “Send me an email”. (see below)

- Now wait for the One VU email that will be sent to your inbox with a numeric verification key or a link to reset the password. Either will work.
- Once you have the email with your numeric verification code, you can select "Enter a verification code instead" on your screen
- Type in the code, and click "Verify"
- Using the password requirements, type in your desired new password and select Reset Password to confirm changes.
