Service Description
Beginning academic year 2026-27, Aperio is being replaced by HistoVU. This Histology/Pathology slide viewer is used in the first year of the MD program and contains digital histology and pathology slides used in lectures. HistoVU is hosted at VUMC, and EDI partners with the Pathology department for support.
Usage Tips and Keyboard shortcuts
After logging on to HistoVU with your VUMC ID and password you can choose the teaching set and then see a set of case slides.
Once a slide is selected use the following keys as shortcut keys:
- Push F = flip
- Push R = Rotate
- Push I = information pop up
- Paint feature (pallet)= temporary
- Pres + = zoom in, Press - = zoom out
