How to Request Help from a Classroom

Purpose

This document describes how to request support if a technical issue occurs with a classroom AV system during class.

Description

This procedure will outline the steps to report classroom technology issues that are actively impacting instruction at Vanderbilt University.

Resolution or Procedure Steps

If the classroom has a Crestron touch panel, press the Help Request button in the lower left-hand corner of the screen.

You will be presented with four pre-populated requests:

  • Projector/Sound Issue - Send Help Now

  • Projector/Sound Issue - Please Check Later

  • Computer Issue - Send Help Now (only in rooms where there is a dedicated lectern computer)

  • Computer Issue - Please Check Later (only in rooms where there is a dedicated lectern computer)

Please select the request that corresponds to your issue and a ticket will be submitted requesting support. Please note that you only need to press the button once. Subsequent button presses will send multiple requests for support.

Support may also be requested by using a Service Request.

Exclusions

VUIT Classroom Technology does not support the School of Nursing, Engineering Science Building, 6th floor, and spaces supported by Student Centers.
