Retiring Alumni Services in Google Workspace

Overview

Vanderbilt University is retiring alumni services in Google Workspace, including access to Gmail, Google Drive, and Photos, effective August 22, 2025. This decision, driven by Google-initiated licensing changes and the need to mitigate cybersecurity and data privacy risks, was made after careful deliberation. This change comes alongside the university transitioning its entire email suite to Microsoft.
