Service Description

The Domain Name System (DNS) is a service that converts website names (like vanderbilt.edu) into numerical addresses (like 129.59.86.49) and vice versa. DNS can also create shortcuts to other website names (for example, example.vanderbilt.edu can point to example.vendor.com).

Note: Any DNS validation record must be approved before it is used.
