Digital Strategies, part of the Communications and Marketing department, is responsible for managing the overall web presence and strategy for Vanderbilt University. The team oversees most of the university's web properties, providing support in web development, content management, and digital communication to ensure a cohesive and high-quality digital experience for all users on the Vanderbilt.edu domain.
Core Responsibilities

Web Development
- Serving as a resource and strategic planner for university-wide web development, Digital Strategies builds websites and web applications, performs data analysis on web traffic, and explores new technologies to enhance Vanderbilt’s online presence.

Web Content Management
- Maintaining the first and second tiers of www.vanderbilt.edu and offering guidance for lower-level sites. The team serves as a design and technical resource for university-supported content management systems, including OmniUpdate and WordPress.

Web Look and Feel
- Providing guidance on web design and branding across the university's websites to promote a cohesive and coordinated Vanderbilt presence. They establish and maintain web standards to support a professional and consistent visual identity.

Communication and Outreach
- Offering training opportunities and implementing communication strategies to support the university’s content management systems and maintain a strong, unified presence on the web.
