This article details steps for an issue regarding the Windows Hello Pin not being an available option to log into a profile and only can only log in using the password.
Please try the following options if the Windows Hello Pin is not an available option to login:
Log into Windows and then try resetting the pin -
- After you've logged in, go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options.
- Under "Windows Hello PIN," click Remove to delete the old PIN.
- After restarting, go back to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options and click Set up under the PIN option to create a new one.
- On the login screen, select the "Sign-in options" and the key icon to enter your Microsoft account password instead of the Pin.
If the above options do not work - Run the following command from Command Prompt -
- certutil -deletehellocontainer
- Restart computer
