Purpose

The purpose of this article is to explain how long Vanderbilt email accounts remain active.

Prerequisites

  • Have a Vanderbilt email account

Description

The following chart illustrates the general email account expiration policy: 

  V-Mail
Faculty Never
Staff ​Expires the last day of employment
Emeritus ​Never
Undergraduate Student ​+1 year from last day as an enrolled student
Former ​Undergraduate Student
and Vanderbilt Employee		 ​Expires the last day of employment
Graduate Student ​+1 year from last day as an enrolled student
