This article details the process for self-service password recovery. If you forget your password or need to reset it for any reason, OneVU provides a quick and secure self-service option. Follow the steps below to reclaim a forgotten password without contacting IT support.

- Navigate to https://onevu.vanderbilt.edu in your browser.
- Login using your @vanderbilt.edu email and click Next.
- When the system asks for your password, select the small text below the password field that says "Forgot Password."
- Then you will want to click “Send me an email."
- Now, wait for the One VU email to be sent to your inbox with a numeric verification key or a link to reset your password. Either will work.
- Once you have the email with your numeric verification code, you can select "Enter a verification code instead" on your screen.
- Type in the code, and click "Verify"
- Using the password requirements, enter your desired new password and select 'Reset Password' to confirm the changes.
